About the Authors

Dong Weiping: Born in August 1976 in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, China, the author is a senior engineer with a graduate degree. The author currently works at the Second Institute of Surveying and Mapping of Hebei Province, engaged in technical management and application research of new surveying and mapping technologies.

Mao Yulong: Born in September 1974 in Guyuan, Ningxia, China, the author is a senior engineer with a bachelor's degree. The author currently works at the Fujian Provincial Institute of Land and Resources Survey and Planning, and the author’s research interests include land and resources survey and remote sensing monitoring. Mainly engaged in land and resources management technical services as well as land survey and remote sensing monitoring related business work. Participated in the Second National Land Survey of Fujian Province. As a member of the technical team and survey team, the author was responsible for organizing the construction of the slope classification database, the production of survey base maps, the production of survey control boundaries and the calculation of control areas. The author also participated in the province's technical guidance and inspection. The author was mainly involved in and responsible for the provincial technical guidance and results review of the annual land use change survey in our province from the second survey to 2017; from 2010 to 2018. In 2017, the author was responsible for organizing and undertaking the remote sensing monitoring tasks of the Ministry of Land and Resources' annual national land use change surveys, monitoring and verification; organized the province's 2017 and 2018 mid-term satellite film law enforcement, remote sensing monitoring of greenhouses and villa land. In addition, during the third national land survey, the author served as the deputy leader of the technical team, responsible for organizing the formulation of relevant technical regulations and supplementary regulations in the province, organizing production, and responsible for the province's technical guidance, research and processing of technical issues, etc.

Wang Jinwu: Born in December 1980 in Ledu, Qinghai, China, engineer, bachelor's degree, currently working at the Institute of Geophysical Exploration, engaged in geological survey, geographical information, surveying, mapping and remote sensing research.

Gao Feng: Born in June 1977, a native of Tieling, Liaoning, China, with a senior professional title and a bachelor's degree. Currently working at Liaoning Hengrui Surveying and Mapping Co., Ltd., engaged in surveying and mapping engineering research.

Liu Ruien: Born in November 1973, deputy senior professional title, bachelor's degree, currently working at Ordos CCCC Transportation Planning and Design Co., Ltd., engaged in application research on the development and application of modern surveying and mapping technology in highway and bridge engineering.

Han Yongtao: Born in September 1987, the author is a native of Xingtai, Hebei, China. The author is an engineer with a graduate degree. The author currently works at the Hebei Provincial Cartography Institute (Hebei Provincial Bohai Surveying and Mapping Management Center) and is engaged in research on ocean surveying and smart cities and other related technologies.

Wang Baocheng: Born in December 1970, the author is a senior engineer with a bachelor's degree. The author currently works at the Hebei Cartography Institute and is engaged in geographic information data processing analysis and application research.

Wang Zhiguo: Born in April 1977, the author is a native of Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, China. The author is a senior engineer with a postgraduate degree. The author currently works at the Hebei Provincial Cartography Institute (Hebei Bohai Surveying and Mapping Management Center) and is engaged in research on surveying and mapping remote sensing, smart cities, ocean surveying and coastal zone remote sensing and other related technologies.

Zhu Yifei: Born in June 1990 in Linyi, Shandong, China, assistant engineer, bachelor's degree, working in the Surveying and Mapping Institute of Linyi Municipal Bureau of Land and Resources, engaged in surveying and cartography research.

Zhang Xingjuan: Born in November 1982, a native of Shijiazhuang, Hebei, China, a lecturer with a postgraduate degree. Currently working at Sifang College of Shijiazhuang Railway University, engaged in photogrammetry and remote sensing research.
